The film has him playing the role of Naseerudin Shah’s and Mohanlal does Anupam Kher’s role. Music for ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ is by none other than Kamal’s daughter, Shruthi Haasan, and the trailer of the film has her humming in the background. Chakri Toleti, the boy who played the child in Kamal’s film, ‘Salangai Oli’, is debuting as the director through this film. Interestingly, Chakri also played the role of Kamal’s friend Ram in ‘Dhasavatharam’.
